House prices in 20 metropolitan areas around the USA step 5,67 per cent in april compared with the same month in 2016, according to S&P, Corelogic Case-Shillers index.
Analysts had expected the index would rise by 5.90 per cent in annual terms.
Compared with the prior month, prices rose, säsongsjusterat, with 0.28 per cent in april (expected +0,50), after a rise of revised by 0.53% in the previous month (+0,87).
The strongest development in april, compared with the corresponding month in 2016, reported from Seattle, +12,91 percent, followed by Portland, +9,32 percent.
The weakest development is reported from the Cleveland, +3,36 percent, followed by Washington DC, +3,61%.
In New York, prices rose 3.84 in per cent, in Los Angeles, prices rose by 5,32%, and in Chicago they rose with or 3.96 per cent.
