At the end of the day, we are all players

In relation to my last post, I would like today to give you a few reasons why trading is not bad and hope to be able to give you some ideas to solve your inner conflicts.

Public opinion says that the game (read:trading) is bad. Your parents say that the game is bad. Your partner / spouse says that the game is bad. Well, guess what, they are wrong.

During my years on earth I have seen many ambitious players crumble under pressure of their peers and of society. To earn money as a professional gambler is, according to the as bad as to say that it will be the underworld drogkingpin or probably even worse! At least earn drogkingpins money instead of losing them.

Hypocrisy will hyfsas

The same hypocrisy that drives the game to eternal damnation will also play a big role when you think about alcohol and other drugs. Alcohol is ”ok” because it is deeply rooted in our society, Marijuana is ”bad” because it is a drug. Surprise! Alcohol is much worse than most other drugs: ”Excessive alcohol use led to approximately 88 000 deaths and 2.5 million years of potential lost life (YPLL) each year in the united states.

Death after marijuana? Zero. I just wanted to clarify a point here: just because everyone says that marijuana is bad, it does not mean that they have the right.

The idea that most people reach in their lives is simply to listen to others and take it for granted. The only thing that changes is their source of information. First you thought your parents were right, then you thought even on Fox News – AMERICA’s freedom must be defended by bombing civilians on a different continent.

It is, by the way, the beauty of freedom of speech – anyone can say what they want, it is very easy to get the propaganda machine has to run because people are overwhelmed by information and simply rely on the largest and well-known information channel.

If you ever want to make you a professional player, you have to look far, far, far beyond the common horizon. You have to ask about everything and everyone all the time. Was independent.

If you don’t understand it, you are not to judge. Why do I say to people who say that the game is bad is a hypocrite? For two reasons: one, they do not understand the professional gambling and can not distinguish it from other activities. Two, they are players themselves. Yes, all of it!

When it comes to reason number one, it is a really simple concept. No one can have a valid opinion on something that he does not understand, no discussion.

For reason number two, I’ll give you some examples: You sign a contract. You will be on a different plan. You leave your house and purchase a new one. You acquiring a new job. Every time you replace something for something, you play. You determine the value of the thing you get in exchange for what you give, and measures if the risk is worth the reward. There will always be a source of uncertainty because you don’t know 100% what you get.

What most people probably don’t know is that they are playing with their lives every minute. When you replace your time, the most valuable commodity in the world, for the money in a normal 9-5 job, you play risk (lost time) is worth the reward (money), which usually is not.

But it is just how people choose their jobs. ”How much can I earn?” You bet, actually your life on a ”dream” that is not even yours. I can guarantee that the rewards will be ridiculously small compared to your risk.

Of course I’m not saying that you should not work hard. Working hard makes you happy.

So there you have it. Every single decision you ever make in your life is a game. To bet money on an outcome you believe is just another form of värdeutbyte. Some are good at it, others not.

Games are considered as harmful in most societies throughout the world as, to a large extent not understood, and because it attracts the ”colorful” people. But it also attracts many of the brightest and smartest minds that I’ve ever had the honor to get to know.

Games are my passion, my life. I breathe it, I eat it, I dream about it. Life is a game. You might just want to try and become good at it! Or continue to listen on the other. It is up to you, really. And if you want to contribute something of value to the community, donating a bit of your profits to charity, which I have done for years. Were passionate about what you do with the money you earn and do it well.
